Bill passed away peacefully on Sunday 28th September 2025 at Home surrounded by his loving family, aged 79.

The cherished husband of the late Barbel, loving father to Marc & Billy, loved father-in-law to Sharon & Paula, much loved Grandad of Joe, Billy, Morgan, Tilly, Bertie, Ruth and the late Ben Buckley.

Bill will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humour, warm personality, his strength of character and words of wisdom. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Lach Dennis, at 2pm on Saturday 18th October 2025. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Bill’s life. Following the service everyone is warmly invited to continue sharing memories of Bill, at Congleton Cricket Club from 3.30pm.

The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolences and cards that have been sent in Bill’s memory.

We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to Macmillan Cancer Support. A donation box will be available at the service, however donations can be sent via the funeral directors.
