A direct cremation doesn’t have to mean missing the opportunity for a personal goodbye.

Our Direct Cremation Plus service offers the same straightforward arrangements and dignified care as our standard Direct Cremation, together with the opportunity for family and friends to spend time with the person who has died before the cremation takes place.

For some families, those final moments together can be especially important.

A personal goodbye

With Direct Cremation Plus, the person entrusted to our care can be dressed and carefully prepared for a visit, just as they would be for a traditional funeral.

Family and friends can then visit our chapel of rest by arrangement, spending time together in a peaceful and private setting.

There is no formal funeral ceremony at the crematorium, and the cremation itself remains unattended.

It is simply an opportunity to say goodbye in your own way, without arranging a traditional funeral service.

What’s included?

Everything provided with our standard Direct Cremation service, including:

• Collection into our care and looking after the person at our local funeral home.

• A suitable standard coffin.

• All necessary arrangements and paperwork.

• An unattended cremation at a local crematorium.

• The return of ashes to the family.

And, importantly, Direct Cremation Plus also includes:

• Dressing and preparation for a chapel-of-rest visit.

• The opportunity for family and friends to visit privately, by arrangement.

• Time to say goodbye before the cremation takes place.

Our Direct Cremation Plus service costs £1,600.

Both Direct Cremation choices include the same standard coffin. Alternative coffins can be arranged at an additional cost, and any necessary supplementary charges will be explained before arrangements are confirmed.
