The last few years has seen a rise in the popularity of the Direct Cremation service.  A Direct Cremation is great way for people to take care of necessary funeral arrangements, but without the stress and additional cost of an actual funeral.

On many occasions we have been asked whether a family can also come and say their goodbyes in our chapel of rest, but with a direct this isn’t possible.  A direct service is provided at a very low price point, and with that comes the reduction in what can and cannot be done. 

In looking at the services we offer we wanted to be able to offer a compromise.  So we have created a new service that we call our ‘Direct Plus’.

Our new Direct Plus is still a direct cremation service, but it has a few upgraded options.  You can choose whether you want a simple wood laminate coffin, or an environmentally sensitive jute coffin. 

In exactly the same way that we prepare someone for our full traditional funerals. We will prepare your loved one and present them for chapel visits. They cab even be dressed in their own clothes. 

You can visit your loved one to say your goodbyes properly in our chapel of rest in Congleton. However, this must be during our normal working hours.

Once chapel visits are complete we will then cremate privately, with no family in attendance, at a local Crematorium as we do with all our direct services.

Our Direct Plus service is provided for a fixed fee of £1600.
