Mavis passed away peacefully on Sunday 22nd September 2024 at Prestbury House Care Home surrounded by her loving family, aged 77.

The cherished wife of the late Eric Greensmith, loving mum to Grace and Erica, much loved Nana to Tara-Jayne, Aysha, Chad, Aston, Kane, Kyle and great nana to Stanley Franklin, Lottie, Mila and Hughie, respected sister to Ann, Sandra & Carl, and mother-in-law to Nigel and Paul.

Mavis will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour, warm personality, friendly smile, love of gardening, strength of character, words of wisdom, unassuming nature and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

The funeral will be held at St Stephens Church, Congleton, at 12 noon on Thursday 10th October. Mavis’ funeral will be a celebration of her life, she loved life. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Mavis’ life. The service will be informal, and in keeping with Mavis’ love for colour the family have requested for guests to wear a splash of pink. 

The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolences and cards that have been sent in Mavis’ memory. 

We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to Dementia UK. A donation box will be available at the service, however donations can be sent via the funeral directors.
