Georgia was taken tragically on the 25th June 2020 aged just 17, she was surrounded at the hospital by her loving family. An adored daughter of Mandy and Mark, a much loved sister to Josh and cherished granddaughter to Norman and Trudy, and Christine and Arthur. Georgia was sassy, funny and a real entertainer, she loved to be the centre of attention and randomly burst into song, dance or an accent. She had an absolute heart of gold and her relatives, friends and dance family meant the world to her. She would instantly light up a room with her bubbly personality and her infectious smile. Everyone effected by Georgia's death is truly heart-broken and she will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to know her.
The funeral service was held at Birches Crematorium on Friday July 18th 2020 and conducted by Martin McNally. Gee was taken into the service and accompanied by ‘Purpose’ sung by Justin Bieber.
During the celebration of Gee's life a photo display was shown and this was accompanied by Kodaline's "All I want" sung by Becky Brady. "Diamonds" by Rihanna was then played. A Tribute to Georgia was then given by Julie Harris and this was then followed by a mix of some of Gee's favourite dance tracks. Mia Willward then read our a poem "My life with Gorgeous Gee". Sam Smith's "Lay me down" was then played. Marsha Jones then read "She is Gone", a poem by David Harkins. "You are the reason" by Callum Scott and Leona Lewis was played and again this was a recorded by Becky Brady along with Will Bours. Tanisha Orchard then read her peom, "Her sparkle will never fade" To celebrate Georgia's love of dance, "Dancing Queen" by the cast of Mamma Mia was then played. Then as people passed Gee's white coffin and payed their final respects Bruno Mars' "Just the way you are" was played,
Following the service family and friends released 5 white doves to celebrate Gee and then released beautful balloons into the lovely blue sky. It was a beautiful ceremony and fitting for a real Dancing Queen.
Donations were requested instead of flowers and were made to Bliss and Visyon. At the time of writing, these donations have amounted to £3491.15 which is testimony to how popular Gee was and the impact she had on everyone who knew her.
